A.M. Weald grew up in the US but has lived and studied all over the world. While in grad school, as a mode of productive procrastination, she started writing fanfiction novels as well as professionally editing academic manuscripts. As of 2018, with a PhD in Anthropology, she has refocused her vocation to writing and editing and is working on her first original novel. A.M. is open about her struggles with chronic back pain and mental illness, including anxiety and depression, insomnia, and imposter syndrome. A.M. contributed Demanti to the e-zine Short Story Issue 1 Vol. 2.
