Suraya Kiawan-Tessa is the author of Rena and the Focaccias or the Tragedy of Silent Stairs, a short story in an upcoming Winter Anthology by Cinnabar Moth Publishing. Her writings have appeared or are forthcoming in Cornucopia, Mixed Mag, Pareidolia Literary, Dwelling Literary, and more. She also documents her life and celebrates other Southeast Asian creatives on her blog. She is a Malay woman of mixed ancestry from Singapore, who left home to honour her aspirations, first in Istanbul and hitherto in Turin, Italy. Suraya contributed Notes of a Sea Change to the e-zine Short Story Issue 1 Vol. 2.
